To provide the following information, a series of 14 temperature acceleration tests were conducted on a 21 us qt. (20 ltrs) steel oil pan with a 500 watt Titan TH500 Oil Pan Heater.
These are OIL TEMPERATURE INCREASES from the beginning oil temperature found after engine shutdown.
After 1 hour of operation, oil temperature is increased by 73°F (23°C)
After 2 hour of operation, oil temperature is increased by 73°F (23°C) total increase is 110°F (43°C)
After 3 hour of operation, oil temperature is increased by 22°F (11°C) total increase is 132°F (56°C)
After 4 hour of operation, oil temperature is increased by 8°F (4°C) total increase is 140°F (60°C)
After 5 hour of operation, oil temperature is increased by 6°F (3°C) total increase is 146°F (63°C)
After 6 hour of operation, oil temperature is increased by 4°F (2°C) total increase is 150°F (66°C)
